Dear Partners,
Taking into account the ongoing emergency situation on the natural gas market in Europe, the various scenarios for securing supply sources and their impact on the natural gas price during Gas Year 2022-2023 and the letters received in this regard from natural gas consumers, Bulgartransgaz EAD shall undertake a measure to enable network users to determine more accurately the expected annual consumption of their end customers and then to request a yearly capacity product for the exit points in Bulgaria.
With this measure, natural gas users in Bulgaria shall have additional time to update their plans in the long run, taking into account the emergency situation on the natural gas market and the price dynamics on the European gas exchanges in the recent months.
Regarding the above, Bulgartransgaz EAD shall carry out additional auctions for yearly, quarterly and monthly capacity product for all exit points in Bulgaria within which the respective capacities available at the date of the auction shall be made available for booking.
The standard auctions for yearly, quarterly and monthly capacity shall be executed according to ENTSOG's Auction Calendar, and the additional auctions shall be held on 26 September 2022, 28 September 2022 and 29 September 2022 for the remaining available yearly, quarterly and monthly capacity products respectively at exit points in Bulgaria, after taking into account the capacity products already booked under the standard auctions for the respective points.
The additional auctions shall start at 10:00 a.m. and shall continue for three (3) hours.
